The following activity occurred from Monday, July 22, to Sunday, July 27, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. LPD logged a total of 111 response calls during this period.

Monday, July 21

•Cayuga Street, Academy Park, suspicious vehicle. Driver reported resting for the night.

•900 block of Ridge Road, check situation. Patrol reported a male, 54, as hostile. Subject taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center on a mental health response. Report filed.

•1100 block of Upper Mountain Road, two-vehicle injury accident. Statements taken from drivers, both vehicles towed. No details on injury. Report filed.

•2600 block of Upper Mountain Road, attempt to locate. Caller reported a vehicle damaged a mailbox. Patrol found no mailbox damage and cleared call.

•2500 block of Saunders Settlement Road, assist citizen. Patrol reports assisting a male with a search of his brother.

•800 block of The Circle Drive, house check. Female complainant, 58, reports coming home to find a screen removed by her husband. Previous domestic responses at the address reported and active warrant in effect.

•Center and North Fourth streets, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from drivers; report filed.

•800 block of Foxwood Drive, suspicious persons. Two parties located; call handled by patrol.

•Addresses on the 4400 block of Susies Lane and the 4700 block of Lauren Court, separate alarm responses. Both locations secure; reports filed.

Tuesday, July 22

•Morgan Drive and Greenfield Road, juvenile problem. Subjects advised of curfew and sent home.

•River Road and Tryon Drive, vehicle/traffic stop. Male, 29, arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation, third-degree. Driver remanded to Niagara County Jail and vehicle released to licensed operator.

•1000 block of Saunders Settlement Road, trespass complaint. Female, 49, listed as complainant, and two males, ages 35 and 29, as suspects. Patrol located the male, 35, who was passed out on a couch in the house. Complainant did not wish to pursue charges.

•1000 block of Escarpment Drive, check welfare. Patrol reports homeowner wished to file a complaint about the State Police. Contact number given to complainant.

•800 block of Orchard Drive, agency assist. LPD on location with State Police for a possible harassment.

•1500 block of River Road, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from drivers; both vehicles towed from scene. Report filed.

•800 block of Page Avenue, suspicious person. Female complainant reported a male followed her home from Artpark.

•3600 block of Witmer Road, vehicle/traffic stop. Male, 39, arrested for operating while registration is suspended/revoked. Suspect released on appearance tickets for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•400 block of Center Street, EMS response. Patrol assisted Lewiston No. 1 Volunteer Fire Co. with an unresponsive male.

•400 block of Kenwood Drive, check welfare. Female, 28, listed as complainant and a male, 31, as person involved. Patrol reported a female child with her father and all OK.

•Center Street, suspicious person. Patrol reported a lost concertgoer from Artpark; all OK.

Wednesday, July 23

•600 block of Onondaga Street, alarm response. Patrol reported a fuel capacity alarm; company notified.

•Lewiston Road at the I-190, vehicle/traffic stop. Female, 61, arrested for driving while intoxicated. Blood alcohol content testing performed; BAC result, .16 of 1 percent. Appearance tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court and vehicle secured. Report filed.

•800 block of Cayuga Street, larceny. Statement taken from a male complainant regarding a female suspect, 23. Patrol reported the arrest of the female on petit larceny charges. Suspect released on her own recognizance.

•4000 block of Lower River Road, harassment. Patrol reported a road rage incident. Call handled.

•4200 block of Ransomville Road, mental health response. Male, 48, transported via Rural Metro ambulance to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

•Oak Street, suspicious black males in area. Subjects gone on arrival.

Thursday, July 24

•Oneida and North Fourth streets, vehicle/traffic stop. Male, 44, driving a vehicle with Ontario registration arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation, third-degree. Jail/bail of $250 assigned and appearance tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court. Vehicle towed; report filed.

•Ridge Road, reckless driver. Patrols report observing a blue sports bike traveling east on Ridge Road from Creek Road at a high rate of speed, weaving in and out of traffic. The bike was located at a gas station on the 5800 block of Garlow Road. Upon interviewing the driver, it was learned that the same bike had taken off from patrol the previous day and from the State Police a few days earlier.

•Male, 19, subsequently arrested on two counts of reckless driving, unlawfully fleeing a police officer and numerous vehicle/traffic violations. Arraignment at Lewiston Town Court and driver remanded to custody of Niagara County Sheriff's Office/Niagara County Jail. Bail assigned at $4,000/$8,000 bond. Report filed.

•1700 block of Saunders Settlement Road, DOT commercial vehicle checks. Patrol reports conducting five level 1 inspections. One truck taken off the road with critical failures.

•1100 block of Saunders Settlement Road, open burn complaint. State Department of Environmental Conservation police contacted and handled call.

•4800 block of Eddy Drive West, assist/check welfare (multiple responses). Patrol's responses included checking on water damage, and assisting Crisis Services with a female, 44, reported as crying. Situation addressed.

•900 block of Seneca Street, illegal dumping. Female, 63, listed as complainant. Investigation to continued.

•5300 block of William Street, neighbor problem. Patrol reports a barking dog led to a neighbor conflict. Situation addressed.

Friday, July 25

•900 block of Pletcher Road, domestic. Female, 30, and male, 28, listed as persons involved. Verbal argument reported; male left to another location.

•3500 block of Ransomville Road, fight. Patrol assisted NCSO; no further details.

•Niagara University campus, Kiernan Center, larceny of bicycles. Statement taken from a male, 26; suspects listed as juveniles. Investigation to continue; report filed.

Saturday, July 26

•2800 block of Albright Road, weapon threat. Patrol reported incident occurred in Lockport. NCSO to handle complaint.

•1200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, suspicious persons. Three males reported in church parking lot. All OK.

•900 block of Pletcher Road, assist. LPD on location with NCSO on an attempted warrant served on a male, 35. Subject not on location.

•1200 block of Balmer Road, assist. LPD on location with NCSO for a domestic. Call handled by NCSO.

•5100 block of Walmore Road, aggravated harassment. No further details.

•300 block of Onondaga Street, unwanted party. Female, 23, listed as complainant. Party GOA and patrol checked area with negative results.

Sunday, July 27

•700 block of The Circle Drive, check welfare. Homeowner reports hearing noise in garage. Patrol checked residence; all secure.

•5000 block of Dana Drive, suspicious persons. Male, 24, and female, 21, listed as persons involved. Cal handled by patrol; all OK.

•700 block of Center Street, vehicle/traffic stop. Female, 44, arrested for driving while intoxicated. Breath test request refused. Driver remanded to custody of NCSO/Niagara County Jail; bail assigned. Report filed.

•5900 block of Garlow Road, attempt to locate. Elderly male wandered from residence. Subject located and returned by patrol.

•800 block of Oriole Lane, assist. LPD assisted crisis hotline with a male, 21, listed as depressed. Patrol made entry into residence and subject taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center on a mental health response. Report filed.

•1000 block of James Drive, check welfare. LPD, NCSO and State Police on location for a male, 35, threatening to cut his wrists. Upon arrival, information was received that the male had a can of gasoline and a flare gun. Male refused to speak with officers and threatened to blow up the house if he saw anyone trying to get in. NCSO Emergency Response Team and Crisis Negotiation Team both activated. Nearby residents were evacuated while others were advised to shelter in place. After successful negotiations with the subject over the course of approximately two hours, the male eventually came out of the house without incident. Male was transported by police to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center on a mental health response/evaluation. Reports filed.

•Lewiston Queenston Bridge, arrest. LPD and U.S. Border Patrol and Customs Protection reported the arrest of a male, 49, for unlawful possession of marijuana. Appearance ticket issued for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•Locations on Garlow Road and on Walmore Road, northbound, separate reports of reckless drivers. Areas checked with negative results.
