State Sen. Maziarz and Assemblyman John Ceretto state that representatives from their office attended a meeting Wednesday morning with local agencies regarding events on the day of Nik Wallenda's walk across the falls. They were joined by representatives from Niagara Tourism and Convention Corp., New York State Parks, Global Spectrum, Old Falls Street and Fashion Outlets.

"This group of agencies have brought a lot of exciting ideas for the event to the table," Maziarz said. "For having such a short amount of time to work with, I am excited about what they have planned for the visitors of Niagara Falls and Old Falls Street that day. They have been working tirelessly to make sure that everything -- including security, parking and crowd control - are the best that they can be."

"June 15 is going to be an exciting day in Niagara Falls," Ceretto said. "Those represented at this morning's meeting are hard at work and I have every confidence this will be a world-class event both in Niagara Falls State Park and in downtown Niagara Falls, New York. It will be an exciting day to kick off an exciting future for Niagara Falls tourism."

Information regarding parking and events will be made available within the next couple of weeks once details are finalized.
