Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center will join more than 20 community partners for "Your Health Counts," an outdoor celebration of World Health Day beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday at the 18th Street Resource Center, 1667 Linwood Ave., Niagara Falls.
The free event will feature cooking demonstrations, health screenings, line dancing and fire safety demonstrations, as well as information about health insurance coverage and finding a primary care physician. Lunch will be served from noon to 3 p.m. with the event wrapping up at 4 p.m.
In the event of rain, the celebration will be held at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cleveland Avenue at 18th Street.
Coordinating "Your Health Counts" are Charles Walker, Memorial's director of community outreach, and Community Health Advocate Cassandra Jackson.
