Niagara University Players present all-student-run production of 'The Twilight of the Golds'

From Feb. 24 through Feb. 26, the Niagara University Players will present an entirely student-run production of "The Twilight of the Golds," by Jonathan Tolins, in the Leary Theatre within the Elizabeth Ann Clune Center for Theatre in Clet Hall.

Directed by NU Theatre senior Annise N. Celano, this 1993 Broadway play is a thought-provoking tragicomedy about family genes and the choices that link and sever their bonds. (It includes some adult subject matter.)

The production will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 24-25, and at 2 p.m. on Feb. 25-26.

The board members of the Niagara University Players who are responsible for organizing this production include: Dino Petrera, Class of 2012 (artistic director); Tony Rajewski, '13 (technical director); and Andrea Gollhardt, '12 (treasurer).

Set design is by design/technology theatre major Primo Thomas, '12. Costume design is by performance theatre major David Spychalski, '13. Light design is by design/technology theatre major Tony Rajewski, '13, and sound design is by design/technology theatre major Jayson Clark, '12.

Cast members of the production include the following Theatre Studies students: Michael Wachowiak of Kenmore (David Gold); Glenna Rankin of Buffalo (Suzanne Gold-Stein); Richard Cole of Niagara Falls, Ontario (Rob Stein); Nathan Miller of Amherst (Walter Gold); and Meagan Millar of Grand Island (Phyllis Gold).

Stage manager of the production is Stephanie Schmidt of Rochester. Assistant stage managers are Alissa Sumerano of Hurley and Jennel Pruneda of San Antonio.
