The Lochside Celtic Band, in conjunction with The Wilson House Restaurant and Inn, will host an evening honor the life and works of Scottish poet Robert Burns in what is traditionally known as a "Burns Dinner," or "Burns Supper," on Saturday, Jan. 28.

"Last year, the event was sold out," said Tom Keefer of the Lochside Celtic Band. "We have always featured local bagpipers. We have that, haggis, a "Best Legs Contest" for the men in kilts, door prizes, fantastic food and Scottish music from the Lochside Celtic Band. Even if you're not Scottish or just Scottish-curious, this is the event for you. It will be both historical and hysterical, including pageantry interwoven with great humor. You do not have to wear a kilt to attend."

The band features Keefer (from Wilson, on vocals/mandolin/piano/guitar), Ernie Palmer (from Lewiston, on vocals/bass) Norman Bock (from Lewiston, on guitar/vocals) Hannah Bock (from Lewiston, on flute/vocals) and Stan Tryninewski (from Niagara Falls, on drums).

The tickets are $30 and can be obtained from the Wilson House 716-751-9888 or Lochside Celtic.

"We had people as far away from Medina and Rochester attend last year, you won't want to miss it," Keefer said.
