Former Grand Island resident Anthony "Tony" Felich went home to be with the Lord on May 16 at the age of 79 due to heart failure.

Tony and his wife (Ginger) of 41 years lived on Grand Island from 1972 till 2006. They moved to the Kansas City area to be closer to their loving grandchildren A.J. Nico, Jordan and Willow. He was known as Pepa to them.

Tony is also survived by his son, Tony Jr. (Shari) a Presbyterian pastor in Overland Park Kansas and his daughter, Tara, an LPN in Orlando, Fla. Tony was number 10 of 12 children and is survived by his brothers, Steve and Charlie (Mary Ann), both living in Buffalo. He also has many nieces and nephews.

Tony served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951-53. He worked for the railroad, building houses, The Courier Express and The Buffalo News before retiring. Tony was blessed to have a full life in God's grace through Christ, and was wonderfully involved in the lives of his grandchildren and church.

If you had a chance to know Tony you would know he could never give a "yes" or "no" answer when a story could be told and a laugh shared instead.

Tony trusted in Christ alone and is now with Him in glory.
