Ransomville 'Free Concerts in the Country' starts June 30 with some Brass Monkeez

The Ransomville "Free Concerts in the Country" 2011 series kicks off on Thursday, June 30, with an award-winning local high school rock band, Brass Monkeez. The eight-week free concert series takes place at the William J. McLaughlin Free Library Gazebo at 3733 Ransomville Road every Thursday at 7 p.m. from June 30 through Aug. 25 with the July 14 concert changing venues for one date only to Porter on the Lake Park.

Concert attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs. The Ransomville Historical Room will be open for visitors and will have light refreshments for sale.

Additional bands in the Ransomville Free Concert line up include: July 7 - Penelope (classic rock), July 14 - Colt 45 (at Porter on the Lake Park; country music), July 28 - Clyde (modern/alternative rock), Aug. 4 -Then & Now (classic tunes), Aug. 11 - East of Eden (country music), Aug. 18 - Tonemah (Americana folk/rock), Aug. 25 - CRS Band ('60s and '70s classic rock).

The Ransomville Free Concert Series is hosted by the Ransomville Business & Professional Association, Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce and is sponsored by the Town of Porter and Waste Management/CWM Chemical Services LLC.
