Party to endorse 'Reagan values' candidates

The Niagara County Conservative Party announces plans to hold interviews for the party's endorsement of candidates for several offices on April 9 in Wheatfield.

The Niagara County Conservative Party's executive committee will interview candidates for district attorney, county clerk, family court judge, Lockport mayor, and North Tonawanda clerk-treasurer.  Individuals interested in seeking the Conservatives' endorsement must attend the interviews, which will begin at 10 a.m., and be held at the Wheatfield Community Center, 2800 Church Road.

The Conservative Party will conduct an interview process for other offices at a later date.

"With Americans returning to conservative principles in last year's elections, we know local voters will be weighing the Conservative Party's endorsement very heavily when they vote," said Dan Weiss, chairman of the Niagara County Conservative Party. "We want the chance to meet the candidates for these major offices and to identify the people we feel most confident in carrying forward our party's message of smaller government, less taxing and spending, and a return to traditional values.  As the independent voice of conservative voters, we hope all candidates seeking these offices take the time to make the case for our party's endorsement."

Endorsement by the Conservative Party leads to a candidate's listing on Row C, the Conservative Party's row on New York state's ballots.
