The Niagara County Office for the Aging is seeking nominations for the Niagara County Senior Citizen of the Year.

Each year the office recognizes a senior who is an integral part of the community, giving back to and serving residents of all ages.

Anyone who is a Niagara County resident and is at least 60 years of age is eligible for the award. Anyone can make a nomination. Submit the individual's name, the contact information of the nominating person or group and a description of why the nominee should receive the award. Nominations should be mailed to Niagara County Office for the Aging, 111 Main St., Suite 101, Lockport, NY 14004, or emailed to [email protected] by Friday, April 15.

The winner will be recognized by the state Office for the Aging as part of Senior Citizen's Day in May and by the county at a Niagara County Legislature meeting to celebrate May being Older American's Month.
