The Miracle League of Grand Island and Western New York is one step closer to home following recent fundraisers. On March 12, the league held a dinner fundraiser at the Buffalo Launch Club. The event was well attended by members and supporters from the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce. Representatives of The Miracle League of GI and WNY met with the Grand Island Town Board Monday and Wednesday to go over details related to establishment of the adaptive baseball diamond designed for ballplayers with handicaps and special needs. The diamond is slated for Veterans Park, with members of The Miracle League hoping for a spring construction.
