Niagara University will host an open house for prospective transfer students on Saturday, March 12. The free event takes place on campus in Bisgrove Hall from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Niagara's transfer student open house is an excellent opportunity for prospective students and their families to learn more about NU's academic programs, scholarships, financial aid, and the transfer admissions process, including university policies regarding transfer credits.

Each year, approximately 250 students from two- and four-year colleges from across the country choose to transfer to Niagara.

"NU has really developed a nationwide reputation for being a transfer-friendly university," stated Mark Wojnowski, associate dean for transfer enrollment. "We offer generous transfer scholarships and are very receptive to accepting credits from other schools. Niagara believes that transfers are integral to the development of its student body and the university community."

Attendees will check in at the Glynn Family Atrium of Bisgrove Hall at 9:30 a.m., one half hour before the informational session begins in Bisgrove 350-351. Following the admissions/financial aid presentation, there will be breakout sessions that will allow prospective transfer students to meet with representatives from each of Niagara's four colleges (Arts & Sciences, Business Administration, Education, and Hospitality & Tourism Management).  The afternoon concludes with optional campus tours.

Convenient parking for the event is available in the Castellani and Dwyer parking lots, adjacent to the Gallagher Center.

To request more information and/or register, call Niagara University's Office of Transfer Admissions at 1-800-462-2111, or log on to www.niagara.edu/transfer-admissions.
