The fifth grade DARE class at St. Peter's R.C. School in the Village of Lewiston recently got a first hand look at another tool in combating drug use. Lewiston Police K-9 Radar and handler LPD Officer Scott Stafford visited and demonstrated the techniques they use to find drugs, track individuals and protect officers.

Following the exercise, students had the opportunity to meet and pet Radar. Each student also received a photo card of Radar and Officer Stafford, and a description of their duties.

Lewiston Police Chief Chris Salada informs that those interested in a K-9 demonstration by an officer and Radar may contact the LPD at 754-8477.
