For this year's Christmas project, the students of St. Peter's Lutheran School, Sanborn, decided they wanted to help those in the local area. Each class collected personal care items, such as soap, shampoo and washcloths, which were sorted and put into men's and women's cloth carrying bags made by staff members. They were taken to local shelters to help those in need.
The students also assembled homemade bags of pancake mix wrapped in dishtowels and ribbon to look festive for local shelters as well.
Shown making pancake mix are Trevor Hasley and Justin Rees. Second-graders are shown with the finished bags.
