Wednesday, Dec. 8

•4500 block of Whitehaven Road, 6:38 p.m. - A vehicle broke down and awaited a tow from AAA after a two-car accident.

•Whitehaven Road, 8:26 p.m. - The driver of a 2004 Jeep Liberty, registered to an Islewood Drive man, was issued two uniform traffic tickets.

Thursday, Dec. 9

•1700 block of Huth Road, 7:49 a.m. - Pistols are missing from a locked cabinet, but there are no signs of forced entry.

•200 block of Cardinal Lane, 12:52 p.m. - A coyote in a complainant's back yard seems to be wounded. The coyote with the slightly injured leg ran away upon spotting patrol.

•2300 block of Grand Island Boulevard, 4:56 p.m. - A car was struck in the rear bumper while parked in a lot, but the driver at fault drove off going towards Baseline Road. The suspect's vehicle was stopped on Baseline Road by patrol. Both vehicles in question suffered paint damage. The elderly female driver was not aware that she struck another vehicle. An information exchange between drivers was completed.

Friday, Dec. 10

•2600 block of Baseline Road, 4:24 p.m. - A female caller said she heard two shots fired across the street. Patrol found nothing wrong.

•2600 block of Staley Road, 4:59 p.m. - A woman was given a letter from her ex-fiancé's lawyer to vacate house by the end of this weekend. Her former beau is concerned about violence when she returns, and he was advised to call patrol if a problem arises. The issue with the engagement ring and other property - that's a civil matter.

•3100 block of Staley Road, 5:59 p.m. - The driver of a Chevrolet HHR, a 58-year-old man from Wheatfield, struck a deer. The deer ran into the woods, but the HHR had minor damage.

Saturday, Dec. 11

•1800 Block of Grand Island Boulevard, 12:38 a.m.- The driver of a 2006 Honda Accord sedan, registered to an Ashland Avenue, Niagara Falls man, was charged with driving with a suspended license and released with appearance tickets.

•2300 block of Grand Island Boulevard, 1:14 p.m. - A complainant stated that someone took and envelope full of money from the counter at the bank in September and asked patrol to look at the video from Sept. 1 to help find the missing $400.

•2000 block of Bush Road, 11:54 p.m. - A deer struck by the driver of a Mercury Cougar was later put down.

Monday, Dec. 13

•2900 block of Grand Island Boulevard, 3:14 a.m. - Patrol investigated the report of a female heard screaming for help. It turned out to be just a verbal argument.

•2800 block of Grand Island Boulevard, 9:37 a.m. - Patrol assisted at a Metro bus fire. The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority Police were notified.

•100 block of Whitehaven Road, 11:49 a.m. - A male was found in a third floor hallway with facial injuries. He was transported to Erie County Medical Center for observation by Twin City Ambulance.

•200 block of Laurie Lane, 11:58 a.m. - Medicine was allegedly taken from a mailbox.

•2300 block of Fix Road, 4:31 p.m. - A man told patrol that he attempted to pick up his four children the day before at 5 p.m. as per the custody order issued by the court. A domestic incident report was filed. The Erie County Sheriff's Office will follow up. A copy of the custody order was forwarded to headquarters.

•5600 block of East River Road, 5:01 p.m. - A complainant stated to patrol that he came home from work around 3:30 p.m. to find his roommate had moved all of his belongings out of the house and that $610 dollars was taken from his dresser drawer. A report was taken.

•East River Road, 10:32 p.m. - Men riding in a Ford Ranger were reportedly checking trashcans and throwing garbage around. Patrol caught up to the subjects at Love and LaSalle roads and issued property receipts for items that the subjects claimed to have garbage-picked. Both subjects were advised that if no one reports any of the 184 items as stolen in the near future, then they will be given back.

Tuesday, Dec. 14

•I-190, 12:34 a.m. - Patrol assisted occupants of a vehicle that went off the road between Staley and Whitehaven roads.

•Stony Point Road, 4:16 a.m. - Two tickets were issued for violation of the town's winter parking ban.

•1800 block of Love Road, 7:06 a.m. - Someone noticed water coming out of a vacant building. The Grand Island Fire Co. was notified.

•Whitehaven Road, 7:32 a.m. - Patrol checked on a black sports car in a ditch and made contact with the operator, who said he would recover the vehicle within the hour.

•Bush Road, 10:20 a.m. - A Chevrolet van traveling east on Bush Road and a Chevy Cavalier covered with snow traveling south on Baseline Road collided, sending the Cavalier into the snowbank. No injuries were reported.

•Love Road, 11:40 a.m. - Another car went into a ditch.

•2900 block of Grand Island Boulevard, 6:17 p.m. - A child's mother is there trying to take child, but the dad has custody. The subject left before patrol arrived.

•1200 block of East River Road, 10:24 p.m. - Patrol investigated a burglary where forcible entry was made through the back glass sliding door of home; an event that happened sometime while complainant was at work. The subject apparently used a barbell weight to break the glass. Cabinets and drawers in the kitchen were disturbed, but it appears nothing was taken. Photos and fingerprints were taken.

Wednesday, Dec. 15

•100 block of Park Lane, 3:51 p.m. - A small red car has been parked in front of an empty lot next door for four days, forcing snowplows to drive around it. A parking ticket was issued.

•1100 block of Stony Point Road, 5:38 p.m. - A 14-year-old boy tore up the house and his mother asked for a report.

•2100 block of Grand Island Boulevard, 9:49 p.m. - An underage person tried to buy alcohol, without success.

•1800 block of Whitehaven Road, 11:13 p.m. - A complainant stated that she is being harassed by a known person, and would like the subject advised to stop all communication. The subject was advised.

Thursday, Dec. 16

•2101 Bedell Road, 7:10 a.m. - A window on a vehicle was damaged and entry made. Nothing was taken.

•1100 block of Whitehaven Road, 3:36 p.m. - A man called the number of his missing iPhone. The person who answered offered to sell it back to the complainant for $250.

Friday, Dec. 17

•1600 block of Grand Island Boulevard, 7:36 a.m. - A wallet was found containing $96 in cash, credit cards, and other property. It was returned to the husband of its owner, a resident of East River Road.

•Ransom Road, 11:02 a.m. - The driver of a van, registered to a Lancaster man, was issued an unspecified traffic ticket.

•2900 block of Grand Island Boulevard, 11:42 a.m. - A complainant stated to patrol that she has been receiving calls since the 15th of this month regarding her dog, Chloe, who was given to her more than two years ago. Chloe is wanted for breeding purposes and has been taken on two occasions, and both times returned either pregnant or had just given birth. The SPCA was notified, as well as another police department.

•3400 block of East River Road, 11:59 a.m. - A deer hit by a car and suffering a broken leg was dispatched by patrol.

•2100 block of Bedell Road, 3:53 p.m. - The person in the upstairs apartment is accused of smoking marijuana, which is coming into a complainant's apartment where the 4-year-old is inhaling the smoke. The subject apologized to the complainant and stated it won't happen again.

•200 block of Laurie Lane, 4:49 p.m. - Police executed a bench warrant out of the City of Buffalo and took a subject into custody for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, possession of a hypodermic instrument and introducing contraband into prison. The subject was taken to the Erie County Holding Center.

Saturday, Dec. 18

•Hennepin Road, 1:19 a.m. - A dog has been barking for the last hour at a neighboring house and a neighbor was concerned for the dog because of the cold. Patrol didn't find anything amiss.

•Monica Road, 4:18 a.m. - A ticket was issued to the owner of a Mazda for violating the island winter parking ban.

•100 block of Whitehaven Road, 9:51 a.m. - A man fishing off boat docks in the marina slid on the dock surface and went into the water through the ice. The Grand Island Fire Co. and patrol responded. The subject was still in the water next to a boat dock being held up by his fishing partner and GIFC Chief Greg Butcher. Patrol then assisted pulling the subject up onto the dock and out of the water. The subject was in the water for approximately 10 minutes.

•50 block of Dolphin Drive, 6:46 p.m. - A 40-year-old male wanted by the Hamburg Police Department for violation of a court order was picked up on an arrest warrant.

•20 block of Royal Oak Circle, 11:57 p.m. - Patrol investigated a hit-and-run. A vehicle suffered damage to the front driver's side fender from an unknown vehicle that left the scene. The vehicle was parked legally on the street outside of a residence.

Sunday, Dec. 19

•2600 block of Whitehaven Road, 2:19 a.m. - Patrol followed up on an investigation of a youth being punched in the face at a party and found underage drinkers. An adult male was charged with procuring alcoholic beverages for persons under the age of 21 years. Other subjects were charged with unlawful possession of an alcoholic beverage with the intent to consume by persons under the age of 21 years

•2300 block of Whitehaven Road, 11:18 a.m. - A construction company office was broken into, with entry made through a back window. Where is the pipe laser for laying sewer pipe? It's valued at $10,000 to $12,000.

•1100 block of Baseline Road, 5:35 p.m. - Patrol is on the lookout for Sasha, described as a very friendly female husky.

•Buckhorn State Park, 8:21 p.m. - State Parks Police following two snowmobiles requested assistance from patrol.
