NUSC skaters take first at Skaneateles Invitational

Skaters from the Niagara University Skating Club of Mitchell's Skating Center were awarded the club trophy on their taking first place at the Skaneateles Figure Skating Competition, held Dec. 3-5. The NUSC skaters accrued the most competition points out of 30 figure skating clubs participating.

Skaters, their competition and their finish at the Skaneateles Invitational, include: Jacquie Phillips, senior test, third place; Taylor Artieri, senior test, fourth place; Megan Messer, novice test, sixth place; Isabella Fagiani, intermediate test, fifth place; Sam Shea, pre-juvenile free skate, second place; Katrina Copeland, preliminary free skate C, second place; Kaity Tuohy, preliminary free skate B, first place; Kate Wolf, preliminary test, fifth place; Madison Wrazin, pre-preliminary free skate, second place; Kaleigh Smolen, pre-preliminary free skate, fifth place; Haley Funderburk, pre-preliminary test C, third place; Tara Finlayson, pre-preliminary test B, fifth place; Cassandra Hagens, pre-preliminary test A, second place; Shelby Krawczyk, pre-preliminary test A, fourth place; and Hannah Cassidy, no test free skate, second place.

Also, Kayla Menshon, beginner test D, first place; MacKenzie Baker, beginner test D, third place; Kelsey Menshon, beginner test D, fifth place; Elise Wilsey, beginner test D, sixth place; Caroline Coble, beginner test C, first place; Savannah Rutkowski, beginner test C, fourth place; Lauren Painter, beginner test D, third place; Hannah Schroth, beginner test D, fifth place; Isabella Costa, special badge free skate, second place; Angelina DiTullio, special badge free skate, third place; Allison Hogan, special badge free skate, fourth place; Makenna Barrientos, special badge free skate, fifth place.; Daniel Copeland, limited beginner test A, first place; Eve Pacia, limited beginner test B, second place; and Emily Barone, limited beginner test B, third place.

All participants train with Mitchell's Skating Center and practice at Dwyer Ice Arena on the NU campus and Hockey Outlet in Wheatfield.
