The following activity occurred Monday, Nov. 1, to Sunday, Nov. 7, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. A total of 79 calls were answered by LPD during this period.

Monday, Nov. 1

  • Academy Park, fire response. Patrol advised of a report of fire spreading at the Veterans Memorial "Eternal Flame." Call turned over the Lewiston No. 1 Volunteer Fire Co. responders. Report filed.
  • 2700 block of Upper Mountain Road, criminal mischief. Statement taken from a 45-year-old female and a 48-year-old male regarding a female suspect. No further details.
  • 2900 block of Elm Street, injured person. Patrol reports an 81-year-old female requested a report after falling on a newly paved roadway. Individual refused medical treatment. Report filed.
  • 2700 block of Upper Mountain Road, check-the-welfare. Caller had concerns regarding painted over words on the roadway.
  • 4300 block of Porter Center Road, smoke alarm. Lewiston No. 1 on location; all OK.
  • 2100 block of Mount Hope Road, burglary. Statement taken from a 64-year-old female regarding an unknown suspect. Investigation to continue. Report field.

Tuesday, Nov. 2

  • 2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, counterfeit currency complaint. Statement taken from a male regarding a 17-year-old female. Report filed.
  • Black Nose Spring Road, vehicle fire. Patrol reported the vehicle involved as possibly stolen out of Niagara Falls. Niagara County Sheriff's Department on location.
  • 900 block of Upper Mountain Road, criminal mischief. A 66-year-old male reported that pepper was poured into his gas tank. Report filed.
  • 900 block of Upper Mountain Road, criminal mischief. A 63-year-old female reported the attempted theft of a car computer. Report filed.
  • 4000 block of Creek Road, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from both drivers; report filed.
  • Unspecified location, arrest. Patrol reported the arrest of a 46-year-old female from an earlier criminal mischief complaint on the 2700 block of Upper Mountain Road. Suspect arraigned at Lewiston Town Court and released on her own recognizance. Report filed.
  • 100 block of South Seventh Street, general, non-criminal. Patrol reports a female party had questions regarding her son who is incarcerated. Patrol offered several options to the woman and cleared the call.
  • 1000 block of Saunders Settlement Road, property dispute. Patrol reported both parties in disagreement with regards to the ownership of several firearms. Parties referred to small claims court. Patrol cleared.
  • Center Street, attempt to locate vehicle. Patrol checked the area with negative results. Vehicle listed to an elderly person. Patrol cleared.
  • 1800 block of Ridge Road, possible larceny complaint. After speaking with a female complainant, patrol determined that an unknown animal, possibly a mouse had taken her candy, not an individual. Patrol cleared.

Wednesday, Nov. 3

  • Upper Mountain Road, vehicle/traffic stop-check. Patrol reported the pullover-arrest of a 25-year-old male for aggravated unlicensed operation. Suspect arraigned at Lewiston Town Court; bail of $250 assigned and posted. A licensed driver took possession of the vehicle. Report filed.
  • North Fourth Street, vehicle/traffic stop-check. Patrol reported the pullover-arrest of a 23-year-old female for Driving While Intoxicated. Suspect transferred to custody of NCSD; no details sobriety check or Blood Alcohol Content testing. Bail of $250 bail assigned and driver remanded to Niagara County Jail. Vehicle secured.   • Creek Road at Johnson Drive, two-car accident. Statements taken from both drivers. Report filed.
  • 5200 block of Lewiston Road, and the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission on Military Road, separate 9-11 hang-ups. No problems reported.
  • 2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, two-car accident. Statements taken from both drivers; report filed.

Thursday, Nov. 4

  • I-190 at Military Road, reckless driver. Vehicle listed as a 2008 Honda Civic; plate number logged. Patrol unable to locate.
  • Ridge Road, reckless driver heading west. Ontario plate number logged; vehicle gone on arrival.
  • 700 block of Cayuga Street, robbery at a bank ATM. Statements taken from a 54-year-old female, a 38-year-old female, and a female victim. Suspect listed as a white male and unknown.
  • 2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, shoplifter complaint at a gas/convenience store. State Police handled.
  • Robert Moses Parkway at Ridge Road, suspicious person. A 51-year-old male was located and sent on his way.
  • LPD office, arrest. Patrol reported the arrest of a 26-year-old male suspect, who turned himself in from an Oct. 21 larceny complaint at a nursing home facility on the 5200 block of Lewiston Road. Report filed.

Friday, Nov. 5

  • 1800 block of Mount Hope Road, check-the-welfare. Patrol spoke with a 21-year-old female regarding a 33-year-old male suspect. No further details.
  • 1600 block of Upper Mountain Road, one vehicle accident. Patrol reported a 74-year-old male was taken to ECMC by Upper Mountain Volunteer Fire Co. EMS. NCSD investigated.
  • 300 block of Kerr Street, reckless driver. Complainant unknown. Patrol reported the arrest of a 36-year-old female for Driving While Intoxicated from the call. Driver taken into custody; no details on sobriety check or Blood Alcohol Content testing. Uniform traffic tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court. Vehicle towed. Report filed.

Saturday, Nov. 6

  • 2200 block of Upper Mountain Road, shots fired at a building. Statement taken from a 53-year-old male who reported an unknown suspect drove by the address four times within 45 minutes, shooting at the building each time. Limited information obtained on the vehicle. Private security to be on location at night until further notice. Report filed.
  • 2700 block of Upper Mountain Road, larceny. Statement taken from a 41-year-old male; suspect unknown. Report filed.
  • Ridge and Model City roads, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from both drivers. Report filed.
  • 5200 block of Fort Gray Drive West, harassment complaint. Statement taken from a 64-year-old male regarding a 39-year-old male suspect. Resolved by patrol; report filed.
  • Miller Road, two-vehicle accident. Statement taken from the driver of vehicle No. 1; vehicle No. 2 unknown. Report filed.
  • Fifth near Center streets, check-the-welfare, and possible mental health related. Patrol unable to locate the subject.

Sunday, Nov. 7

  • Upper Mountain Road, vehicle/traffic stop-check. Patrol reported the arrest of a 60-year-old male for second degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Suspect assigned bail of $250 and remanded to custody of NCSD en route to Niagara County Jail. Vehicle towed. Report filed.
  • 1000 block of Divide Road, check-the-welfare, Patrol reported two brothers, ages 17 and 27 years old were engaged in a verbal/physical argument. Both reported all OK; patrol cleared.
  • 1000 block of Divide Road, check-the-welfare. Patrol reports returning the 17-year-old male from the above call to the hospital. Subject discharged earlier without doctor's approval. Patrol cleared.
  • 900 block of Ridge Road, two-car accident. Statements taken from both drivers. Patrol reported citing driver No. 2, a 56-year-old male, on being an unlicensed operator and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Uniform traffic tickets issued and Lewiston Town Court assigned. Report filed.
  • 1800 block of Saunders Settlement Road, shooter complaint. Statement taken from a 79-year-old male regarding a 60-year-old male. Male suspect advised to shoot at least 500 feet from residences.
  • 700 block of Hillview Court, EMS assist for an intoxicated, unconscious male. Patrol reported a possible drug overdose of a 20-year-old male. Lewiston No. 1 EMS transported to Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center.
  • O'Shea Hall on the NU campus, report of fire. Patrol reported two separate fires in bathroom trashcans; both extinguished by students. Lewiston fire investigator on location. Report filed.
  • Mount St. Mary's Hospital, possession of hypodermic needles. Patrol listed the 20-year-old male from the Hillview Court call as a suspect. Investigation to continue; report filed.
  • Military and Lewiston roads, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from both drivers; report filed.
  • Upper Mountain Road and Grove Street, suspicious person reported near a church. Patrol checked with negative results. Patrol cleared.
