OAHIIO -- The Good Path

On Oct. 2, Native American Independent Living Services presented its OAHIIO Haudenosaunee Championship Smoke Dance and Social at Buffalo State College, where they officially announced their agency's name change to "OAHIIO" (Oh-Wah-He-Oh), meaning "The Good Path."

This refers to what the staff of OAHIIO does to help its consumers, using a holistic approach that includes independent living skills, peer support, advocacy and information and referral. To find out more about services or to begin receiving them call 836-0822 or go to www.wnyil.org.
