Thompson to present $40K to GICSD

Funding will be used for Project Lead, capital improvements

New York State Sen. Antoine M. Thompson will present a $40,000 check to the Grand Island Central School District Friday at 2 p.m.

“I’m happy to be able to secure funding for the Grand Island School District,” said Thompson.  “This funding will provide students with an enriched educational experience.”

Thompson will make the presentation of a check for $40,000 to Grand Island School Superintendent Robert Christmann. Of the total allocation, $35,000 will be used for Project Lead and the remaining $5,000 will go to enhancements to the physical education department, according to Thompson’s office.

The presentation will take place at Grand Island school district’s office, located at 1100 Ransom Road.
