Earth Day awareness at Lew-Port Middle

As part of its Earth Day activities, students in Mrs. Buck’s eighth grade general science class at Lewiston-Porter Middle School participated in an Earth Day Groceries Project. The exercise was a cost-free environmental awareness project, which saw students decorating paper grocery bags from a local super market with messages carrying an Earth Day theme. About 90 bags were decorated and then returned to the Lewiston Tops Market where they will be filled and distributed to shoppers following their grocery purchases.
