Cardullo is 1st in state Grand Island Dispatch, May 2, 2008
Emily Cardullo, above, of Grand Island won the 13-year-old age group for girls to become the first Islander to win the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Shooting Championship. Peter Kuszczak, left, free throw contest chairman for the Knights of Columbus Council No. 4752, and Grand Knight Gerald Dubiel were on hand Wednesday when Cardullo visited the K of C hall on Whitehaven Road with the trophies she received after winning the state title on April 5. Cardullo won contests at each of five levels of the competition, culminating in the state championship at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Cardullo is the daughter of Sam and Rose Cardullo and is a member of the Lady Eagles team at St. Stephen. |
