Junior Purple Eagles Hockey League Lewiston Porter Sentinel, April 5, 2008 The hockey season is wrapping up as Goodfella’s Pizzeria, Stuart Sports and Roscetti & DeCastro all won championship titles over the weekend in the Niagara Junior Purple Eagles Hockey League. The winners came in the PeeWee, Bantam and Mite levels. PeeWee Championship Goodfella’s Pizzeria 4 Goodfella’s won the PeeWee title behind three goals and an assist by Josh Ungaro and a goal from Matt Feder. Jake Lawley had three assists as well. The BAC had goals from Keven Borowicz, Dajon Maye and Tyler Oakley. Earlier in the playoffs, Goodfella's trounced the Fanara Heating & Plumbing Hitmen 10-2, as Feder scored three times and Ungaro and Lawley scored twice each. Bagging single goals were Alex Kovacs, John Conti and Steven Howard. Nick Pino and Adam Stanczyk scored for the Hitmen. Niagara Family Medicine Pills 6 Andrew Parsnick scored a hat trick for the Pills, with a pair of goals coming from Matt Linderman and a solo goal from Christian Ahmad. Bantam Championship Stuart Sports 5 James Stuart earned the win in net for Stuart Sports, while five different players scored goals for the winners: Rory Mess, Nick Hannam, Kyle Holfoth, Zack Reasinger and Darren Desantis. Kyle Hawkins was the lone goal scorer for Liddell. Liddell Corp. Mean Machine 2 Alex Bonello and Jake Felicetti were the goal scorers for the Mean Machine. Squirt Playoff Brown & Co. Counterfeiters 3 The Counterfeiters edged the Goblins behind two goals by Brendan Pratt and one by Tanner Morrow. For the Goblins, Ian Sitek and Josh Horvath scored. Mite Championship Roscetti & DeCastro 5 Chace Woods had a hat trick, with Riley Muldoon and Chris Tobey adding single goals for the winners. Simon Pannallo scored twice for Jocoy’s, and Joe Pappano and Austin Santorico both scored once. Roscetti & DeCastro 7 Jonathan Lang had three goals to lead the way. Tobey, Woods, Muldoon and Charles Pratt all lit the lamp once each with goals. Matthew Clarkson scored from Adam Graff to account for the lone goal by Cameron’s. |
