New Wheatfield tourism company promotes Niagara Region Niagara Wheatfield Tribune, March 6, 2008 Arriving back from the American Bus Association Travel Show in Virginia Beach, the team from Spirit of Niagara Tour left their bags packed and headed straight to Western Ohio for a Group Tour show there. This week, Spirit of Niagara joined others from the local tourism industry who are attending the Heartland Travel Showcase in Milwaukee. Spirit of Niagara Tours, based at The Summit mall, has been promoting the Niagara Region with a focus on the U.S. side, with tours such as “For The Love of Freedom” (Underground Railroad sites) and “A Border Now Undefended,” (War of 1812 sites). Tours feature a period-dress and uniformed re-enactment team. Spirit of Niagara also has announced a relationship with Know How Tours of Williamsville. “Know-How Tours is working with us to deliver programs to places like New York City, Toronto, Mackinac Island and much more,” said Peter Green, director of Spirit of Niagara. |
