Playoffs in the Lutheran Basketball Association Men’s League advanced to the third round and saw wins by St. Mark, Community Bible and First Trinity.

Mike Hromowyk scored 18 points as St. Mark defeated St. Matthew 58-45. Andrew Davis chipped in 13 points and David O’Neill added 11 points in the victory. Ryan Essenburg topped St. Matthew with 17 points in a losing cause.

Mike Gibbons scored a game high of 36 points as Community Bible defeated First Trinity 75-63. Steve Becker had 25 points and Tom Bradley added 10 points in the win. Andrew Passage topped First Trinity with 23 points. Tim Passage and Davis Hoffman added 18 points each in a losing effort.

Tim Passage scored 21 points as First Trinity defeated St. Mark 77-64. Christian Bell added 15 points. David Hoffman had 14 points and Tim Stone with 10 points for the winners. Mike Hromowyk and Andrew Davis topped St. Mark with 16 points each. Tom Kruger and David O’Neill added 10 points each in defeat.

Women’s League Week 12

Roz Dominnica scored 13 points to lead Community Bible to victory over St. Mark 52-44. Tomi Abayomi added 10 points in the victory. Liz Waston topped St. mark with 19 points and Kelly Schintzius added 12 points in a losing cause.

Janelle Mahl scored 15 points as Holy Ghost/St. James defeated St. Mary’s 37-33. Michelle Lyman had 11 points in the victory. Patrina Leo topped St. Mary’s with 14 points in a losing cause.

Janet Finley scored 12 points as St. Matthew defeated St. Paul 51-31. Dorothy Ganschow added 10 points in the victory. Jill Haseley topped St. Paul with 15 points and Jen Schepis added 10 points in a losing cause.

Women’s League Week 13

Kelly Schake scored 12 points as St. Matthew II defeated St. Mark 62-38. Shari Williams had 11 points and Jennifer Ratka added 10 points in the victory. Liz Waston led St. Mark in the scoring column with 17 points and Erin Strassburg chimed in with 12 points.

Martha Ammoretti scored 11 points as St. Mary’s defeated Community Bible 38-28. Patrina Leo added 10 points in the victory. Samantha Hutchins topped Community Bible with 15 points in the loss cause.

Janelle Mahl scored 16 points as Holy Ghost/St. James defeated St. Matthew I 33-25.
