Island kids marvel at the Cup Grand Island Dispatch, January 18, 2008
Hockey Night at the Albright-Knox staged a successful return last week, as Niagara Frontier hockey fans big and small visited the Buffalo art gallery to get a glimpse of NHL’s “Holy Grail” – the Stanley Cup. Organizers expected more than 3,000 people to attend this event, which included a photo exhibit of the works of David Levinthal and Bob Shaver, an Art Tailgate Pizza Party where children could create their own trophy, make prints with pucks and design homemade noisemakers, meet Sabretooth, and hear about the travels of Lord Stanley’s Cup with NHL Hockey Hall of Fame Curator Phil Pritchard. This was the second year the Albright-Knox has held this popular event and they plan to make it an annual happening. |
