Wheatfield wins playoff championship

The Wheatfield 16-18-year-old travel baseball team has clinched the playoff championship in the Lockport Midget Baseball League “A” division after recording wins over Akron, Pendleton and Lockport. They finished their regular season with a 9-3 record, which included a nine-game winning streak. Wheatfield is sponsored by the Wheatfield Recreation Department and Fuccillo Chevrolet.
