DiPasquale running for family court judge Niagara Wheatfield Tribune, August 30, 2007 Linda M. DiPasquale of Wheatfield has announced her candidacy for Niagara County family court judge. She has received the endorsements of the Democratic Party and the Working Families Party and will be running on the Democratic, Republican, Working Families and Independence lines in the primary race on Sept. 18. As a family law attorney for 20 years, she has litigated and resolved hundreds of difficult cases involving custody, visitation, support, child abuse, child neglect, juvenile delinquency, and domestic violence. She received her bachelor’s degree from Canisius College in 1984 and her juris doctor degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1987. After living and working in North Carolina, DiPasquale returned to Western New York and settled in her hometown of Wheatfield. She began working as an attorney for Rosenthal, Siegel, Muenkel and Wolf in 1990. She opened her practice in 2000 serving families in Niagara County and Erie County. In addition to her practice, DiPasquale has provided pro bono services to the disadvantaged through the Volunteer Lawyers Project and also has volunteered at Haven House, a shelter for battered women and children. DiPasquale is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Erie County Bar Association, the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York, Western New York Chapter, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the Practice and Procedure Committee in Family Court, the Matrimonial and Family Law Committee, Alpha Sigma Nu, the National Jesuit Honor Society and the Pre Law Advisory Council at Canisius College. “Over the last 20 years I have been honored to serve hundreds of children and families during the most difficult times of their lives. During that time I have seen how important it is to have a judge who is intelligent, hardworking and committed to serve the people who come before her on a daily basis,” DiPasquale said. “I believe that I have the experience, skills and temperament necessary to be Family Court Judge.” DiPasquale is rated “Well Qualified” by the Niagara Falls Bar Association and “Highly Qualified” by the Women’s Bar Association of the New York State, Western New York Chapter, to be Family Court Judge. |
