In photo above, Dorothy Bitner, center, was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for her six years as Chamber director, by Chamber President Joanne Kud, to her left, 1st Vice President John Bonora, to her right, Past President Beverly Kinney, far right, and Chamber Director Dr. Sherry Bradford, far left, in recognition of Bitner’s outstanding dedication and contributions, which have substantially enriched the Grand Island community.

On Aug. 9, the directors for the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce hosted a boat cruise aboard the Grand Lady for their many sponsors and supporters throughout the past year. The cruise is also the time when the board bids farewell to the current Youth Ambassadors. At right, Chamber Youth Ambassadors Corey McGowan and Bessie Zhang were recognized for their outstanding leadership and contribution to the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce and the community by Chamber President and Youth Program Chair Joanne Kud.
