Classy Buicks visit Island

Grand Island Dispatch, August 17, 2007

Last weekend, the Niagara Frontier Chapter of the Buick Club of America staged the Great Lakes Buick Regional car show at the Grand Island Holiday Inn and Conference Center. Buick classics of all makes and models – 123 of them – from throughout New York state as well as Connecticut, Massachusetts, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Texas and the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick and Ontario were on display for public viewing, along with some eye-catching V-8s. The oldest was a 1909 classic (shown below), owned by Randy Hall and Marge Salvatora. The show, which ran both Saturday and Sunday, was a hit, with many onlookers stopping by. (photos by Barbi Lare)
