Sisters of St. Francis hold provincial meeting

The Sisters of St. Francis from Stella Niagara held their 20th Provincial Chapter of Holy Name Province, June 27-July 1. Shown above are Sister Dorothy Mueller, who was elected provincial minister, along with Provincial Councilors, Sisters Edith Wyss, Candice Tucci, and Mary Serbacki, all for a four-year term. The Sisters of St. Francis and Associates committed themselves to deepening their spirituality and developing a planetary vision that will nurture the Franciscan way and lead to action for justice and peace. In promoting respect for ecological harmony, especially in regards to water, the sisters and their associates will not use bottled water and will work to ensure that all people have access to clean water. The Sisters of St Francis sponsor The Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart, Stella Niagara Education Park, Stella Niagara Center of Renewal, and Francis Center in Niagara Falls.
