St. Peter’s holds parish picnic

Lewiston Porter Sentinel, July 14, 2007

Last Sunday, the parish community of St. Peter’s R.C. Church held its annual picnic at Kiwanis Park in the Village of Lewiston. Bob Ciszewski, president of the St. Peter’s Holy Name Society, reports the picnic was a major success. “Everybody had fun, with lots of great food and great company,” Ciszewski says. Shown at left are Joe Pizzuto, who served as picnic chairman; the Rev. Sebastian Pierro (Fr. Sibby); and Ciszewski, who points out the St. Peter’s Holy Name Society continues to be an active contributor to the parish, with 16 new members recruited and three new members returning. “St. Peter’s Holy Name Society also makes a generous contribution to St. Peter’s School each year to sponsor children who cannot afford a Catholic education,” says Ciszewski, adding that new members are always welcome.
