Kiwanis, NPSL dedicate kicking wall

Lewiston Porter Sentinel, July 14, 2007

The Niagara Pioneer Soccer League recently dedicated a new kicking wall at its home fields at Fort Niagara State Park. The league has more than 500 players in its house league and 200 on its travel teams. The wall will assist the NPSL players in improving their shooting and passing skills. The Lewiston Kiwanis Club donated funds for the wall and also helped construct it. Fox Fences also donated materials and labor for the project. Present at the ribbon-cutting ceremony were, from left: Randy Gorzka, Kiwanis secretary; Ed Schieffelin, Kiwanis president; Mark Thomas, director of the Western District of the New York Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation; Bob Dorian, president of the NPSL; and John Frandina, Kiwanis board member.
