A Very Special Day

The Grand Island Lions Club’s 14th annual Special Kids Picnic was a delight for all involved – volunteers,
teachers, and most of all – the youngsters, whose smiles are the reward for all the hard work the Lions Club
and other service organizations put into the event each year. The children get a chance for a ride on a boat,
a horse, a golf cart or a Shriners tractor-trailer, as well as being entertained by magicians, musicians and
clowns. There’s face-painting, games and just hanging out. All in all – a very special day. (photos by Grand
