Niagara County Legislator John Ceretto has announced
that he is a candidate for re-election in the 12th District.
For 10 years, Ceretto has served on the Lewiston
Town Board prior to his being elected to the County Legislature.
He is currently a member of the County Legislature’s standing committees
on Administration, Community Services, Refuse Disposal, and Community
Safety and Security. Ceretto’s attendance record at legislature
sessions and standing committee meetings ranks highest among his
colleagues.
He serves on the Niagara County Fire Advisory Board,
the County College Advisory Committee, and was recently appointed
to the Niagara County Bicentennial Committee. In addition he is
a member of the community advisory committee dealing with environmental
concerns relating with refuse disposal.
During his tenure in office, Ceretto has kept close
ties with all the people he represents by sponsoring community
forums, publishing a newsletter and by being open and available
to the needs of every citizen. He cites that the fiscal condition
of Niagara County has improved during his tenure, and points out
that issues such as quality of life and fiscal responsibility have
been among his foremost concerns in his public service.
