Lew-Port D.A.R.E. essay winners Lewiston Porter Sentinel, June 23, 2007
Alexandra Westadt and Zachary Dowsey, seen above with D.A.R.E. police officers and Lewiston Supervisor Fred Newlin, were awarded certificates as the winners of the D.A.R.E. essay contest at graduation on June 15 at the Lewiston-Porter Intermediate Education Center. Their principal, Tarara Larson, is second from left. The completion of the D.A.R.E. course for the year at Lewiston-Porter also marked the final D.A.R.E. course for Lewiston Police Chief Ron Winkley, since he is retiring from the police force this month. Winkley, seen third from right in the back row, received a special award in appreciation of his 18 years of dedicated service to the program. Also seen in the photo are Lewiston Police officers John Penzotti, left, Scott Stafford, right, and Commissioner F. Robert Sdao, second from right. (photo by Ric Berg) |
