Village
Hot Dog Stand re-opens
Grand Island Dispatch,
June 29, 2007
An
Island business with a historic tradition has opened for its summer season
again. The Village Hot Dog Stand, operated by sisters
Sharon Nichols and Barbara Zafuto, right, encourages you
to “relax by the river” at 1437 Ferry Road and
enjoy their summer fare on the site of the historic
Bedell House. The sisters said close
to 80 customers stopped by on opening day, last
Saturday. Two of them, Emily Kujawa and
Joshua
Gould, seen below, said they were told
the stand “has the best hot dogs on the
Island.”
The menu also includes their specialty
– clam broth. Hours are: Thursdays through Sundays from
11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m through Labor Day.
