Schul wins DAR award for flag essay

Sarah Schul, a fifth-grade student who is home-schooled, was a flag essay winner. The contest is sponsored annually by the Niagara Falls Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. Schul is the daughter of Kevin and Tammy Schul. Genevieve Spearin, the flag chairwoman, presented a cash award, table flag and flag certificate to Schul for her essay “What the Flag of the United States of America Means to Me.”
