“We’re excited about this year’s schedule,” Joseph
said. “We’re continuing to set the trend for music in downtown
Buffalo.”
Concerts, which begin at 5 p.m. each week, take place
in Lafayette Square, between Main and Court streets.
Last season, “Thursday” generated more than $4.5
million into the Western New York economy over its 15-week run.
According to Buffalo Place figures, for every $1 the company spends,
“Thursday” attendees spend $6.38 locally.
Joseph also announced that the Buffalo Place “Rocks
the Harbor” two-day music festival, an annual offshoot of “Thursday,”
has been put on hiatus for 2007. To compensate, the “Thursday”
season has been extended two weeks, ending on Sept. 20.
