Furry Friends Small Animal Clinic celebrates anniversary

Niagara Wheatfield Tribune, February 22, 2006

Dr. Mike Borowiec, D.V.M., wanted to thank the thousands of clients served over the last decade in a special way.

Dr. Mike’s Furry Friends Small Animal Clinic, located at 2115 Sawyer Drive in Wheatfield, is celebrating its 10th year of serving the pet owners of the Niagara Frontier by opening a new venture, Furry Friends Too, a nutrition and supply center for dogs, cats, and pocket pets.

“Our motto at the clinic is, ‘honored by your patronage,’ “ Borowiec says. Furry Friends Too does this and more.

“So much confusion exists in the marketplace regarding food quality, puppy and kitten training, and pocket-pet husbandry. This is largely fueled by old wive’s tales and poor advice from peers and professionals alike,” Borowiec said. “I started with a basic question, namely, what is the most important thing healthwise owners can do for their friends on a daily basis?”

At the animal clinic, the staff members are all educators first, Borowiec added. “Cases are shared with all the staff members to create an ongoing, deeper appreciation for all we and our clients are challenged with. We are friendly, humorous, talkative, but above all, informative problem solvers.”

Furry Friends can be reached by calling 731-FRND (3673).
