GI’s year ends in playoff loss

Grand Island lost to Hutchinson Technical Institute Wednesday night in the Section VI Class A-1 boys basketball playoffs, 65-50.

Hutch Tech was led by Julius Bryant with a game-high 24.

The Vikings entered the game as the No. 7 against the No. 10 seed Engineers from the Yale Cup League of Buffalo.

GI ended their season with a record of 10-11.

Grand Island: Chris Rajczak 2, Mike Asbach 12, Mark Gramza 13, Greg Feathers 15, Alex Neutz 5, Kiel Clarke 3 – 50.
