Nature’s beauty shines
in the cold

Grand Island Dispatch, February 16, 2007

This month’s deep freeze has produced some awesome beauty around Western New York. Some of the most beautiful scenes are those near Niagara Falls. From top left, the ice bridge continues to build across the water, deep in the gorge; a lone blue jay perches well above the gorge; a bright yellow bird stands in contrast to deep red berries; and a rainbow graces the brink of the precipice over the falls.
