ElderWood celebrates 17th anniversary

Grand Island Dispatch, February 16, 2007

Staff and residents celebrated the 17th anniversary of ElderWood Health Care at Riverwood, 2850 Grand Island Blvd. The facility recently completed an extensive renovation and remodeling project that added a 14,000-square-foot two-story addition, and created new spaces for therapy, activities and resident dining. Gathered for a photo with Administrator Anthony DePinto, center back, are staff and residents who were present on “opening day” – Feb. 1, 1990. They are Jean Peters, Bridget Mazierski, Beverly Berry, resident Robert Morgat, Joanne Lozo, Joanne Muldoon and Wanda Armstrong. Missing is Effie Herd. ElderWood Health Care at Riverwood is a part of ElderWood Senior Care, providing skilled nursing care, subacute care, rehabilitation, assisted living, independent living, memory care, cardiovascular transitional care and respiratory care to more than 3,500 people each year at 15 locations in Western and Central New York.
