Lewiston-Porter students participating in Chapters Coffee Café are branching out in their food service training to visit even more sites.

The remarkably talented students from Ashli Dreher’s classroom manage the café every Monday morning from 10 a.m. to noon inside the Lewiston Library.

Now, the students are expanding their café expertise through visits to Niagara University’s Clet Hall; the Tim Hortons restaurant on Military Road; and the Opportunities Unlimited’s Experience Center. The students with developmental disabilities are gaining vocational work experience at all the sites they visit, learning about customer service and restaurant operation. Dreher said all the participants in Chapters Coffee Café have a lot to offer.
