Cannon promotes Bobak, Pease Grand Island Dispatch, December 15, 2006
Cannon Design of Grand Island has announced that Deborah L. Pease, AIA, and Jerome F. Bobak, PE, LEED, have been named associate vice presidents. Pease brings more than 28 years of experience as an architect and project manager, primarily focused on work for primary/secondary and higher education clients. Her current project work includes a $29 million project for the Niagara-Wheatfield School District consisting of approximately 60,000 square feet of additions and renovations at the high school, middle school, and three elementary schools, and a $32 million capital improvement project for the Buffalo City School District’s South Park High School. She was also project manager for the development of Phase III, Buffalo City School District Strategic Plan Update. A graduate of the State College at Buffalo with a Bachelor’s Degree in design, Pease earned a Master’s Degree in education from the University at Buffalo. She is a member of the Preservation Coalition of Erie County and Parkside Community Association, an associate member and docent for the Martin House Restoration Corporation, and a member of the Steering Committee for Buffalo Museum of Science. Bobak brings more than 22 years experience in mechanical systems to the firm. He is involved in the design of heating, air-conditioning and ventilation systems for corporate, educational and health-care facilities. His recent project work includes the Buffalo State College Science Building, a 170,000 square foot, multi-phased renovation of a four-story science building to create a comprehensive Science Center, and the Stony Brook University Medical Center Addition, a $120 million addition and renovation program that includes women’s and infants’ services, emergency, and surgery. Bobak holds a bachelor’s of mechanical engineering from the university at Buffalo and has been licensed as a professional engineer by New York state. A LEED 2.0 accredited professional, he is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers and the U.S. Green Building Council.
