Vikings end season on a down note

Grand Island running back Alex Webb carries the football against Hamburg during the first half of action in the Consolation Bowl semifinals. Webb scored on touchdown runs of 21 and 3 yards during the game, played Sunday at All High Stadium in Buffalo. Webb’s first touchdown gave GI a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, but the Bulldogs came back to score the next four touchdowns on the way to a 36-19 win. The Vikings finished the football season 3-6 overall and 3-3 in Class A-North, good for fifth place.
