History Center celebrates anniversary

The Niagara County Historical Society celebrates its 85th anniversary with a dinner on Thursday, Oct. 12.

A special “prequel” event and behind-the-scenes tour is scheduled for 4 p.m., at the Historic Palace Theater, 2 East Ave., Lockport. After appetizers there, guests will head over to the Cornell Cooperative Extension, 4487 Lake Ave., Lockport, for a 6 p.m. dinner.

Following dinner, a historical program on the Schine Theater Company will be presented. Later, volunteers will be recognized and a Volunteer of the Year will be named.
