Ride For Roswell is June 25

Niagara Wheatfield Tribune, June 22, 2006

More than 3,000 riders are expected to participate in the 11th annual Ride For Roswell on Saturday, June 24, at the University at Buffalo’s Baird Point.

The bicycling fund-raiser is organized by the Roswell Park Alliance to benefit patient care and research programs at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

Participants are asked to contribute to the event goal of $1 million by securing pledges when riding one of four routes offered. Riders can choose between the 9-mile, 20-mile, 33-mile and 62.5-mile rides. Rest stops, snack and beverage tables are located along each route.

Since its inception in 1996, the Ride For Roswell has raised more than $3.35 million. In 2005, 2,900 cyclists raised a record $871,000.
