Youngstown parks set to open

•Falkner Park and Veteran’s Park are open for summer activities. The wading pool hours are Monday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

•The village of Youngstown is offering a free concert series. The concerts will be held in Falkner Park every Friday night from June-August. The concerts will begin at 7 p.m., and are open to the public. For a complete listing of concerts, call the Youngstown Recreation Department at 745-3061.

•Other activities in the park will include arts and crafts and story time on Wednesdays at 1 p.m., sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

•Veteran’s Park will be hosting a variety of activities for teens. Tennis will be offered at the park at 9 a.m., on weekday mornings.
