‘Summer of '69’ returns to Lewiston Lewiston Porter Sentinel, June 24, 2006 The Lewiston Council on the Arts presents the “Summer of '69” free concert. Lewiston's own ‘60s rock musicians will reunite for a second year at the Hennepin Park Gazebo on Friday, July 7, at 6 p.m. The music filled evening will include classic rock favorites from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s performed by members of Lewiston's own super-groups, including the County Orphanage, the Invaders and the Loved Ones. Moreover, Grammy winner Gary Baker, former Invader and former County Orphanage bass player, will perform some of his No. 1 hit songs. Baker has worked with performers including the Backstreet Boys, Alabama, Lone Star, All-4-One and others creating such hits as “I Swear,” “I'm Already There” and “Once Upon a Lifetime.” Walt Aldridge will be joining Baker. Aldridge has worked as a producer, writer, artist, engineer, session singer and player on hundreds of albums in a variety of genres. The addition of keyboardist extraordinaire, Jerry Williams, will make this a truly memorable performance. |
