Lew-Port Athletic Department sets dates for sports physicals Lewiston Porter Sentinel, June 24, 2006 The Lewiston-Porter Athletic Department will hold its mandatory sports physicals starting Monday, June 26. The physicals are mandatory for all students who plan on playing a modified, junior varsity or varsity sports in the 2006-07 school year. Students who do not obtain a physical will not be allowed to practice with their teams. All sports physicals conducted by the school district are free of charge. Students who do not obtain a physical exam on the scheduled dates have to pick up a medical form from the Lew-Port High School main office and set up a physical at their own physician at their own expense before being allowed participate on any sports teams. The dates for the sports physicals are: •Monday, June 26, 8:30 to 10 a.m.: Girls modified, JV and varsity swimming, gymnastics, tennis, volleyball and cheerleading. •Tuesday, June 27, 8:30 to 10 a.m.: Boys modified, JV and varsity soccer, swimming, track and field, cross country, tennis, wrestling and volleyball. •Wednesday, June 28, 8:30 to 10 a.m.: Boys modified, JV and varsity football, bowling, golf, basketball and baseball. •Wednesday, June 28, noon to 1:30 p.m.: Girls modified, JV and varsity soccer, softball, basketball, track and field, tennis and cross country. •Monday, Aug. 7, 8:30 to 10 a.m.: Make-up physicals for all girls’ sports. •Tuesday, Aug. 8, 8:30 to 10 a.m.: Make-up physicals for all boys’ sports.
