Ernst and Young matches gift of firm’s NU alumni

Lewiston Porter Sentinel, June 24, 2006

Niagara University has received a gift of $6,700 from the Ernst and Young Foundation as part of the firm’s matching-gifts program. The amount equals the personal contributions of five NU graduates who are employed by the worldwide public accounting firm.

“We are grateful to Ernst and Young and our alumni for taking this initiative, “ said Patrick A, Hanley, NU’s vice president for institutional advancement. “We hope it will be a model for our graduates in other firms that have matching-gift programs.”

Andrew L. Neyman, senior manager in the Buffalo office of Ernst and Young, helped coordinate the fund-raising effort and made the presentation to NU.
